Beatles Guitar Secrets

My videos are intended for accomplished guitarists wanting to improve their Beatles repertoire and can benefit from "seeing" how a song is played - I am not a guitar teacher and do not provide tabs. I welcome specific questions. If the various chords that I am playing are not familiar to you then I would suggest that you visit some of the many free guitar chord sites. I had to learn these songs by listening to vinyl records and watching live performances on tv.
I am trying to recreate performances note for note. I generally delete duplicate parts of the song to make it easier for me to get an acceptable take - these videos take many hours over several days to complete. I close mic record the guitar amplifier into a small digital recorder and then mix it along with the backing tracks which I create from the original recordings. A slight amount of compression is used in the mix.
I have done one song from Rubber Soul but have concentrated on studio albums through the Help! album.

Outstanding job. Just Outstanding! Everyone else gets it wrong. I purchased a Beatles music book many decades ago. I used to use it as a arguing tool for those fiends of mine who always played the Beatles songs with basic or the wrong chords. It had all the subtle" colors" that made the Beatles music so special that so many people missed. We then began to refer to " The Book" if there was an argument about something. Anyway, I subscribed, trimmed my nails, bought new strings for my dust covered guitars that are hanging on the walls. Lets see how long it takes to build up some calluses...Great job!

@BeatlesGuitarSecrets I did subscribe immediately. Why do you think I clipped my nails and bought some strings? I stopped playing because of this bizarre, unbearable pain in my left arm. I thought it was a heart attack. I had an MRI. Turns out I had bone spurs in my neck,three herniated disks, and stenosis. I had surgery on my neck, and they put a cage in there. I just lost interest in playing. My arm has its strength back, and it doesn't hurt to hold the neck anymore. It was horrible for a long,long time. I actually gave away my Les Paul to a kid who was in the Coast Gaurd. I still have guitars to play, so I will definitely enjoy your master class in playing the Beatles.

What chords are you using? I checked out the description and there's no mention of the chords in it.

Do You Want to Know a Secret is one of my favorite George Harrison songs. I love the “oooo” part of the song. This song has a great tempo that makes you wanna bop your head. Gotta love those drums too ❤ l play this song at least 3 days a day because it’s my favorite. I wish the song was longer though but that’s okay. I’m currently using my Beats Studio3 headphones and it sounds so good. This is one of my comfort songs that helps with anxiety. Something about the Beatles singing helps soothe me, especially during some tough time in my life right now ❤

When you are referring to "Min Mid/Min Bass" in the description, are you referring to the Bass/Mid being fully on low or in neutral (12'o clock position). Surprisingly, Google does not yield what the term, "min", means....
Actually, I indicated 'min bass, max treble'. Min is short for minimum and max is short for maximum. The bass control is at its lowest setting, and the treble at its highest setting. I read John was influenced by the chord progression from Runaway, that Andalucian descent. But of course being the genius he was, he added the 6th on the G snd the major 7th on the F. Then took it in a completely unique direction with the F#m , Bm bridge. Then that classic chromatic descent on the second bridge. Classic!

About how many hours have you played this to get to this point?
When I recorded this video I had already been playing for many decades. If you want to improve you must be willing to put in the time. If you enjoy playing, you will enjoy the process.
